As a professional career coach, asking the right questions is very important. Below you will find a compilation of the most common questions I’ve been asked about coaching. What is career coaching?
Coaching is when a coach asks powerful questions to foster self-reflection, maximize self-awareness and soft skills, and to get unstuck.
What are your credentials?
I hold a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a master of science degrees in organizational development and leadership. I am a trained career advisor at a Fortune 500 company with over 250 career advice clients (resume reviews, interview preparation, salary negotiation, etc.). I have also received my certificate in coaching from Erickson International. To receive this certification, I had to complete over 100 hours of formal coaching education. I am also pursuing an accreditation from the International Coaching Federation.
I'm interested in the career coaching package. How does it work?
This package includes multiple sessions. In the first session, we will discuss (1) what coaching is and isn't, (2) why you are looking for coaching, (3) what you expect in a coach, (4) who I am as a coach, (5) how long you would like to have a coach for and how often we should meet. The first session is free of charge. Then, after that, we will continue to have coaching sessions. Each session will be a topic of your choice. Many of my clients float between confidence-building, identifying a career path, resume reviews, LinkedIn review, interview preparation, salary negotiations, and so much more. If you choose the career coaching package, you get to choose the topic of every session. You also get to choose when your next sessions are. You can reserve your time on the calendar as far as 90 days in advance.
I'm interested in the resume review career coaching session. How does it work?
In this individual session, we will review your resume. I'll ask you what types of jobs you are looking to apply to, and give you advice on how to enhance your resume so it stands out. I encourage you to send me your resume prior to our meeting, but you do not have to. If you do not have a resume, that's fine, too! We can use the time to discuss what a successful resume looks like. During this conversation, I do not write or make edits directly on your resume. I leave that up to you, so you can develop top writing skills for your next job application. Unlike the career coaching package, this is a one-off session, not a package. If you would like multiple sessions, you will need to schedule each session using the scheduling tool.
I'm interested in the LinkedIn review career coaching session. How does it work?
In this individual session, we will review your LinkedIn. I'll ask you what types of jobs you are looking to apply to, why you want to use LinkedIn, and give you advice on how to enhance your profile so it stands out. I encourage you to send me your LinkedIn profile URL before we meet, but you do not have to. If you do not have a LinkedIn profile, that's fine, too! We can use the time to discuss what a successful LinkedIn profile looks like. During this conversation, I do not write or make edits directly on your LinkedIn. I leave that up to you, so you can develop top writing skills for your professional branding. We can also use the time to review LinkedIn's job searching features so you can apply a growth mindset to find jobs that fit your career interests.
I'm interested in the interview preparation session. How does it work?
In this session, we will discuss your greatest fears and frustrations around interviews, and how you wish you felt during interviews. I'll explain the different types of interview questions, how to best answer those questions, and what to do after an interview. Unlike the career coaching package, this is a one-off session, not a package. If you have some jobs in mind that you will interview for, feel free to send links to the job descriptions in the scheduling tool. If you would like multiple sessions, you will need to schedule each session using the scheduling tool.
I'm interested in the salary negotiation session. How does it work?
In this session, we will discuss, not just your salary, but all your compensation priorities (salary, bonus, work-from-home, travel, food, housing, etc.). This will help you understand what things you're willing to negotiate for, what things you are willing to let go, and when it is time to walk away. We will also discuss the steps to a proper, timely negotiation and how to build your negotiating confidence. As part of this session, you'll learn how to find your worth and understand the pay range for the jobs you are appying to. Unlike the career coaching package, this is a one-off session, not a package. If you would like multiple sessions, you will need to schedule each session using the scheduling tool.
I'm interested in the career coaching package. How many sessions can I schedule?
There is no limit to the amount of coaching sessions you may schedule, though, you can not have more than one coaching session per day. You may have as many sessions as you like, as often as you like. Most clients choose to have 6 sessions, occurring once every other week.
I'm interested in the resume review, LinkedIn review, interview preparation, and/or salary negotiations. How many sessions can I schedule?
There is no limit to the amount of coaching sessions you may schedule, though, you can not have more than one of the same coaching session per day. For example, you can not schedule two resume/CV review sessions in one day, but you can schedule one resume/CV review and one interview preparation for the same day.
I'm not available during the times listed on your calendar. Are you available at other times?
I may or may not be available during other times, depending on my schedule. You may contact me via email (allucerecoaching@gmail.com) to request alternative times.
What are your fees? How do you determine your session rates?
All fees can be found on the services page next to each service. I take your money very seriously; if you are not happy with the coaching you received, you will get your money back, guaranteed.
When I decide my going rates, I consider a variety of factors: (1) the coaching market, (2) my education, (3) my demand. The average career coaching session in the United States and Europe is approximately $125 USD or 125€, while the average resume writing service is $750 so my rates are exceptionally affordable. This is because I want to ensure my sessions are affordable for many audiences. As far as education, I've gained a certificate in coaching from an accredited coaching school and I am currently pursing my own coaching accreditation. As I gain more accreditations and education, I expect my rates to reflect.
How do I pay for a session?
I accept payment via Stripe payment processing. Payment is due 24 hours before your scheduled session or service.
Can I pay using a different method than what is listed?
Yes. Please contact me via email (allucerecoaching@gmail.com) at least 24 hours before your scheduled session and we can organize an alternative payment method.
How does the money back guarantee work?
I take your money and time very seriously. It's important that I support you in the best way you need. Therefore, if you are not happy with any of the coaching you received, you can contact me via email (allucerecoaching@gmail.com) within 30 days of payment, provide feedback, and receive your money back, guaranteed. If you purchased one of my products and you're not happy with what you received, you can contact me via email within 30 days of payment, provide feedback, and receive your money back, guaranteed.
What is the cancellation and change policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, all cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellation refunds will only be granted to people who cancel their appointments at least 24 hours before their scheduled appointment. If you need to change your appointment, all changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
How does the referral program work?

Career coaching & advising referral: If you refer a career coaching client to me for one-on-one career coaching services, you'll get 50% off your next career coaching session.
Enterprise services referral: If you refer a new enterprise client to me, you'll get two free one-on-one career coaching sessions.
How does it work?
It's simple! Send me an email letting me know the name of the person or company you referred. Once they've completed their first service session with me, you'll be notified via email within 10 business days that you're eligible for the referral program. This referral program is valid through January 31, 2025.
