It's not hard to be an ally at work. While being an ally can sound uncomfortable, it takes a few small actions every week to build your allyship and build someone else up at work.
First, you need to understand your privilege and use it to help others
Are you in rooms that others aren't? Invite them.
Do you know people that others don't? Introduce them?
Next, educate yourself.
Talk to people who aren't like you.
Listen to podcasts outside your current realm.
Read a new article.
Take some trainings.
Lastly, ensure all voices are heard. Ask for someone's thoughts and opinions, especially if there's a pattern of them being left out of the conversation.
